Newark Liberty is conveniently located on the New Jersey Turnpike (Interstate 95). Transportation ways: drive yourself, take AirTrain, rent a car, or ride with one of the numerous car and van services.

AirTrain Newark provides speedy access to New Jersey Transit trains into Newark, New York City and points south via Amtrak’s national rail network.


AirTrain

Operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, AirTrain provides easy connections to NJ Transit and the rail lines that run on the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line. The AirTrain has three major stations within the airport, one for each main terminal (A, B, and C). These stations sit on top of the terminal buildings. There are four other stations (P1, P2, P3, and P4) for the parking lots and rental car facilities plus an eighth at the Northeast Corridor. Line length 3 miles (4.8 km).


The train is free, except to and from the Amtrak/New Jersey Transit station. In that case, the fare is included in the price of the train ticket.


Purchase NJ TRANSIT tickets possible at ticket machines, located at the entrance to AirTrain stations in each airline terminal; at machines located at Newark Liberty International Airport Station; from ticket agents or ticket machines located at most NJ Transit stations.


Purchase Amtrak tickets you can at Quik-Trak machines or Amtrak ticket agents located at Newark Liberty International Airport Station or at Amtrak train stations; online at www.amtrak.com.


Newark Airport Express Bus

Newark Airport Express offers easy and convenient express bus service between Newark Liberty International Airport and New York City. Information and tickets online at http://www.coachusa.com.

There is a Ground Transportation Desk in each terminal adjacent to Baggage Collection. You will find there leaflets (with coupons), phone numbers with information on car hire, hotels, taxis, limos, buses, trains and subway connections to central New York City and other destinations.
